I had wanted to send out our invites four months before the wedding. Well, between my being a bit of a dunce and having problems with Paypal the invitations won't even arrive until next week!
The wedding is June 15, and the response date is April 15 on the cards. How inconsiderate is it to send them out with that date left on the cards? I don't have a clue what to do now....
Plus, I will have to address them by hand if I wish to send them out right away...
Any advice would really be appreciated.

4 months is VERY early to mail the invitations.
If they aren't printed yet, I would move the RSVP date back ...
They really don't need to go out until 2 months before the wedding (8 weeks).
Some people mail a little early, but that would normally be 10 weeks before the wedding date.

Yet, I can't have the response date changed they were shipped Friday and I should receive them soon....Do you think I should have them reprinted...If it costs a lot ...I don't think i could....

my response date is April 6, 2007 and I'm in the middle of sending my invites out right now :) so dont worry about it. it'll be fine.
Plus if you did save the dates then the guest dont really need so much time to reply.

Definetly change the RSVP date-you'll have plenty of response time.

Hi date twin! I'm not sending my invites out for another two weeks and I'm sending them out really early because I have a ton of OOT guests. You have plenty of time so don't stress.

your RSVP date is 2 months before the wedding? IMO, it should be at least 1 month......

If you can change the response date I would, but you're giving everyone a little over 3 weeks to respond which to me is ok. I sent out my invitations 2 mo. ealry and 90% didnt respond until a week before the response date or until after the response date

Kaytea~ Ummm, no I didn't do save the dates ..,Thanks though.... would have been a good idea...but, I figured I would save money by sending the invites early...which didn't work out so well...

jellybean1420~ Congrats on the bun in the oven! Well, that would be good, because I think having to reprint the invites would be difficult...How awful though that they made you bang your head against a wall by not responding ...what did you do? Call?
