So, since I am not the most creative of people, I have decided to buy my invitations. I went to the wedding coach and another two places to look at the invitations. You know..... 'get ideas' I almost fell off the chair when I looked at the prices they were trying to charge me and that was only for the invitation....envelopes were not included I am not cheap, but reallyyyyyy give me a break!!! I just can't justify spending that kind of money on paper that people might look at once or twice and then discard it
I am a Brooklyn bride and I was wondering if anyone could advice me on this? Any ideas? I have checked a few places online that are definitely more affordable, but I want a name of a store I can visit and see the actual product without having to wait for it to be mailed to me : ) I am looking for simple, clean lines. By the way....while looking for the invitations, I realized that the most simple the invitation is ....the more money they want to charge you

Re: Invitations..please help!!!
I used Carlson Craft invites...they were nice, everyone loved them ( I hated them-thought they were too PLAIN) maybe go around and look at those kinds of invites, or print them up on your computer. You can buy invitation sets at Target, walmart and staples and they are nice. And CHEAP!

Re: Invitations..please help!!!
I find it nearly impossible to believe that *envelopes* weren't included in whatever the price for the invitations was ...
What probably was not included was one (or all) of these things:
* the return address printed on the flap of the envelopes (you NEED this)
* the pretty envelope liners inside the envelopes (optional, but helps complete the look)
* the addressing of the front of the envelopes to your guests

Re: Invitations..please help!!!
If you are in Brooklyn you have to go to the girl who did mine ! She was so sweet I wanted pictures printed onto an invitation & she was the only one who took the time to work with the invatation manufacturer & get it done for a reasonable price. I can't find her # but her name is Lilly Colangelo from Creative invite. She works out of the dress store 'Maid to Order' her office is upstairs & she has a million books you can go through, she also custom designs them but that can get pricy. Here is the store info ... 1730 86th St (between bay 16th & bay 17th st) Brooklyn, NY 11214 (718) 621-7177 If you call they can give you her # Pictures of my invites are in my album if you want to take a look

Re: Invitations..please help!!!
An 07 bride started her own business, she makes BEAUTIFUL invites. She is a vendor on here. Check her out!
If you saw the actual invitations in person, then I would say order them online. The only reason I didn't do that is because I wanted to make sure the quality of the paper was good. Wedding Coach has a website and I believe they offer 25% off the price of the invitations if you order them online. Check that out.

I love this topic.
Go to Party City. They have a large selection of no-fuss, work has been done invites. AND they are always some percentage off...I think 30%, rather than going directly to the actual vendor, such as Carlson Craft, ect.
If you want clean lines that don't cost a fortune (but don't look like you just printed them) go here.

Re: Invitations..please help!!!
I got my invitations from Bunny Shestak, Invite and Write. She's located in Midtown Manhattan (212-594-5942). I had a limited budget for invitations, and she helped us pick out a gorgeous invite in our price range. She had a HUGE selection.
