invite ???

how do you include the and guest on the invite. i ordered my invites and they dont include and guest in the wording, how do i include this? very confused

the place where i ordered my invitations also did my envelopes. i put what i wanted typed on the envelope.

The traditional way is to put the name of the main guest on the outside of the envelope and then on the inside 'and guest'.

Example:
Mr. John Smith

Inside
Mr. Smith and Guest

On the outer I just listed the name of the person Im inviting.

I indicted 'and guest' on the inner envelope.

I didnt label the inner envelope, so I put and guest on the outer envelope

The thing that has your name on it is the response card, which has your name and address on the envelope. That goes in with the invitation.

Now I am confused. Do you put and guest on the outside envelope when you send out the invitations?

I think you put it on the inner envelope. The only reason I did it on the outer envelope was because i left the inner envelope blank.

so the reception card enevelope says and guest
and the response card says my name and the outer envelope says the name of the person invited- i think i got it, I hope

The right way to do 'and guest' is to put the person that you are invitings name on the outside envelope and the persons name and guest on the inner envelope. The response card is the only inner item that has you name and address for return purposes.
