Invite dilemma

Invite dilemma

Okay so my wedding is this saturday and I have an invite problem. I invited a girl that I used to work with because we had stayed in touch over the years. We have fallen out of touch lately because she has been busy with things. When the invites were due I emailed her just to make sure she was coming...she hadnt answered a bunch of my emails and I actually thought she just didnt want to be friends anymore! So she responsed pretty quickly when I emailed her asking if she was coming to the wedding and she said of course and apologized for not mailing in the response card and I received it 2 days later saying that her husband and her will be there. Well I havent heard from her since really...a few emails here and there and now I'm worried that she wont show up at the wedding. I emailed her twice with no response and just left a message on her voicemail. I still havent heard back and I'm not sure what to do. I have her at a table of 8 and if she doesnt show up there will only be 6 people. Should I just assume she is not coming and add a few more people to that table just in case? I just cant believe how rude people can be...like I wish she would just let me know either way. Thanks in advance!

Maybe she's busy and hasn't had time to get back to you. I wouldn't put anyone at her table in case she does come it won't be good that she doesn't have a seat.

If you got her response card that says she's coming, I'd assume she's coming. You're better off with two empty seats than not enough seats.

Yea I mean I did receive a response card from her. I just thought it was really weird that I havent heard from her...in like over a week or so...maybe more.

If she already sent in her RSVP, and you said you've lost touch with her, why is it weird that you haven't heard from her? Generally when people send RSVPs back they don't need to communicate anything further with you unless there is a change in their response status.

I dunno...when I used to email her in the past I would get a response rather quickly and I guess I have talked to all of my other friends so much about the wedding...maybe I am just overthinking it!!! She couldnt make my engagment party, cancelled on my shower last minute...so I guess maybe I'm just a lil nervous that she wont show.

I wouldn't worry about it. Don't overthink it! I'm sure if she can't come she will let you know!

Very true....thanks so much. I will definitely keep her in the seating chart until I hear otherwise! I really appreciate your advice!
