Invite Ettiquette?

I have a question, and would like to see how other LIW Brides feel.

My FH and I had our engagement party on March 6th. Invites went out with a month or so advanced notice.

My mom insisted we invite a lot of great aunts/uncles, second cousins, etc. Not one RSVPed or showed up.

I'm annoyed since I didn't want to invite them in the first place. Do I Have to invite them to the wedding?

My feeling is if you couldn't even rsvp with regrets then you obviously don't care.

I know its suppose to be proper to invite anyone you invited to the engagement party to the wedding...but are there exceptions????

I would opt no way....if you didn't show the courtesy to respond to the RD then ... your loss! But, if it means alot to your mom...invite them, and expect them as a no! family can be a pain some time!
