I have a friend that used to work with me. She had been dating a guy, moved in with him and now they broke up and are selling their house. She still knows about 20 people from my job. She's not dating anyone now and I dont want to pay for her to find a stranger to bring just for a date. Do I have to invite her with a guest or is that rude? help?

i'm doing the rule, what you do for one you do for another. i opted to invite guests who are single to NOT bring a guest. i feel the same way, i'm not paying for a stranger who i don't know to come to my wedding. cuz then that's not fair to my B-listers.

I am doing the same thing. I am only having people who have serious relationships have guests. I just don't have the room at the tables, or in my pocket to pay for people I don't know.
This is a personal preference though. You do what you feel you have to do. Good luck!

I'm so torn bc its true, thats not fair to my b list people either, but its like, there has to be a cut off at some point. my guest list is close to 250 and Im no Donald trump here lol I dont know...I still have a little time to think about it. Thanks for the advice though!
