Invite Help

I know I have read how some of you ladies have gotten your invites hand stamped...I just don't have the time or patience to go and do that....as such I plan on sending out the invites next week.....would it be horrible to put them in a mailbox? Or just bring them to the PO and send them through the slot?

TIA for your advice

No, it wouldn't be horrible. I requested that the Huntington PO hand stamp my invites and either they didn't or there are some rough postal workers.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother.

can you explain to me what hand stamp is?

It is too late for me I sent mine out, and put regular stamps on them, and droped them is the mailbox (because I didn't know any other way).. but I was just wondering

You put regular stamps on them, but when you go to the post office, you hand stamp the invitations, instead of letting them go through the stamping machine, where they might be crushed or mangled. The PO I went to gave me the stamp to do it myself, and it took about 5 minutes to stamp about 100 invitations.

I plan to drop mine off at the post office because I don't trust the boxes. I don't plan to have them hand stamped though - I don't think it is worth the trouble....JMO

I tried 3 post office's and none of them would hand stamp them for me. They said the lines were just too long and if the invite wouldn't fit through the machine properly, then they would stamp them then.

Re: Invite Help

My post office was happy to help me. The worker and I did it together. She also helped me with my shower Thank Yous. They were fragile because of the flowers I had attached to each card so we hand stamped those. They also required extra postage and she helped me put the extra stamps on. (Post Office in Malverne).
