Invite Help

Ok I dont have a laser printer, I have a inkjet....is it cheap or would you even notice if I did DIY invites on my own printer....i'm not going super inexpensive on the wedding nor am i pulling out all the stops.....but does it look bad to do home printed invites??? I want to do pocketfolds but cant justify the price....my goal is no more that $500 with mailing and return postage.

TIA!

Not at all. They will come out great I am sure of it.
GO FOR IT!!
I know many people that do them that way. I also have noticed a wedding invite that comes included with a post card for the response I think this type of invitation is realivly in expensive at Anns Bridal Bargains.com if you want to check it out.

Let us know what you do!

I used a kit from Michael's and printed on inkjet and they came out fine. people were surprised when they found out I did them myself.

Re: Invite Help

My inkjet (HP C6100) prints watercolors I swear!

I totally wouldn't trust it with envelopes that could get caught in a drizzle or rain. The ink runs on the paper.

Test your printer, put a drop of water after its printed and given enough time to dry. See if it runs...

I was so upset, because I couldn't get the right shade of green on the lazer printers. I had to compramise a lot and ended up printing my DIY invites half on laser, half on inkjet. It was tormentful.

i couldn't print my engagement invites on my crappy printer so i took mine to minuteman press... they were really cheap and had them done in one day !!! plus they looked great... it's a chain store so google them and you should be able to find one close to you !!

Re: Invite Help

How many invites are you looking for?

You can find inexpensive non-pocketfold invites through a variety of on-line and store vendors

I'm getting 175 tri-fold invites with lined inner envelopes, reception card and RSVP card & envelope for about $400...with stamps it'll come out to be a bit more than $500, but not by that much
