i am in the process of typing up the addresses on my invite envelopes...if someone is invited with a guest, do you write & Guest on the mailing envelope? and are you supposed to write something on the inner envelope? TIA!

i didn't do inner envelopes (trying to be green) but i was told that the inner should be blank, and if it's John Doe & guest you would write the '& guest' on the address. this way they know they can bring a guest

i agree....if u know the name of 'guest' put mr. doe and ms. jane on the inner...but the outer is only addressed to 1 person (if they are not living together).

Our outter envelope just had Mr. Smith, if he was invited with a guest on the inner it said Mr. Smith and Guest or if it was someone we knew well we put Mr. Smitha and Ms. Jones
