Invite help - appeasing Groomzilla!

Invite help - appeasing Groomzilla!

I was super excited bc I got one of my initial Tessa proofs and I really liked it – but now Groomzilla is making me have second thoughts. He says he likes it, but that with the dragonfly and all the colors it doesn’t seem “formal” enough. But that’s why I like her designs!

Any suggestions on how to make it look 'less like a party invite'? Should I take off the dragonfly? But what would I put in it's place?

The one thing I’m changing is to have my mom and dad on a separate line since they’re divorced, unless someone has a better suggestion for that too.

ITA a monogram will class it up

I would scrap the dragonfly and add a desing that's a bit more formal, ask Tessa for suggestions, she's good with that.

Honestly, I like the dragonfly and I like the casual invite and colors. I really wouldn't change it!!!!

i think they look great! i agree with the above posters that a monogram would make it more formal.

you might want to think about removing your last name and fh's....it seems to be a little redundant since both of your parents last names are there. people will know who belongs with who. jmho.

Maybe you could add ribbon or use a metallic paper instead of flat? That definitely makes it fancier.

Yeah I was wondering about the last names thing... I thought that was weird too. Thanks!

Hmm I've made a few monograms but they're pretty cheesey. Maybe she'll be able to make me one. Thanks!

Me too...
The dragonfly is cute, but I think the monogram would be much more formal.

Maybe Tessa can create a monogram and incorporate the butterfly motif? Another suggestion to make it seem more formal would be to mute the pink a little and make the blue darker (without totally changing your color palette).
