Hey Ladies! I am getting married September 7. My invites have an RSVP date of August 7. I know I have to get these out soon but I wanted to wait until the new wedding stamps came out on the 27th. If I send them out on like 6/30 do you think 5 weeks is enough time for the RSVP? How far in advance do invites usually go out? Thanks!!!

Plenty of time! You have until July 7th (or a week longer!) to send them without any problem.

That's close... I wouldn't send them out any later than that... they say you're 'supposed to' send them out 6 weeks in advance. the only people i would worry about is any out of town people....that might not be enough time for them.. but if they know when your wedding is, they may have already made arrangements.

I only sent mine out 3 weeks in advance of my RSVP date - I figure that the longer people think that they have to send the responses back the more likely they're going to put it off and maybe forget.
I sent out STDs to everyone so I figure people already know if they are coming or not.

They come out on the 27th?? Darn, I thought it was the 23rd. I'm waiting for them to get my invites out. BTW you'll be okay, you still have 8 weeks.
