Okay, me again and my neurotic envelope questions:
Now, inner envelopes:
Completely and totally familar people...mom & dad, close aunts & uncles...
Do you write Mom & Dad on the inner envelope? Aunt X and Uncle Y?
I feel kinda weird saying Mr. & Mrs. So-and-so for these people...

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
I plan on spelling out all names formally, even for my parents, aunts, uncles, etc. :)

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
It does feel weird to say Mr. & Mrs. when they are so close. It's just that I don't want to do it 'wrong' either...

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
I read in one of the etiquete magazines, that if you are close to these people, just write their names or titles (dad, mom, etc) in the inner envelope. I will do that ... it becomes more touchy and personal!

Oh if you're worried about right/wrong, I wouldn't. Do what you want or what makes you feel comfy :)

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
we did our inner envelopes totally personally, like Jenn and David, Aunt Sue and Uncle Ned, etc, because that's the 'feel' we wanted.

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
I did my envelopes personally for the most part. For aunts and uncles I just put first name and first name last name (ie. John and Jane Smith). While this is something covered by etiquete, I feel that if you veer from the norm on it nobody really gets hurt. Do what you like.

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
I didn't really do the inner envelope thing, but I would still put 'Mr. & Mrs.'

Re: Invite Help, Please Hurry
We did informal inner envelopes for everyone. It felt weird saying Mr. & Mrs John Doe for my cousins whom I've known forever!
