We are having our wedding at Danfords, whose space is more geared toward smaller weddings. I've seen the room set up for approx. 125 and it looked VERY tight to me (12 chairs per table, tables close together).
I was trying to keep the invite list down to 110 but it is creeping up towards 120-125 (this is the number of guests we think will show) because of the need to invite my FH's little nieces and nephews (his family is insisting) and the need to include some of my cousins I didn't have on the list.
I am worried I will have to place 12 chairs around a table (tight, no space between chairs) instead of 10-11 per table and that people may not have a good time if they are cramped. The room's layout makes it difficult to add an extra table.
Do you think it is better to try to cut the list down (We would need to cut some of our friends) or try to accomodate everyone even though it will be tight?

Re: Invite list dilemma
That's a tough choice... 12 per table is kind of tight, but at the same time, you want to have the people most important to you there. If you can, I would start by cutting the children if you can. Unfortunately, you can't always please everyone.
If not, then I guess try to accomodate. Besides, people will hopefully be up and dancing more than they are sitting so the chances that the tables will be full most of the time is unlikely except during the food courses.
Good luck!

Re: Invite list dilemma
We had 117 show ... and we probably could have had two more tables up by the dance floor.
By no means am I saying the layout is not funky and tight but I also did not have full tables of 12 at all tables ... trying to think of how many tables we had!! UGH!
Our invite list was 131.
ETA: Okay, just found my seating plan ... we had 11 tables - nine down the steps and two up the steps. Six of my tables had a full 12.
