Need opinions on possible invites. I am looking to be budget-friendly. These are 2 Carlson Craft invites that I like. Both have a shine to them. What do you think?
Also, did many of you do lined inner envelopes? I'm not sure if this is necessary or not....
I am lining my envelopes, but they are definitely not necessary.
i like #2 better!

Thanks for getting the pics up! As for the lined envelopes, can you just address these (as opposed to sealing this in the 'outer envelope'? Or is that just tacky? I just don't understand the purpose of 2 envelopes. Does anyone know why this is even done??

An inner envelope is not necessary. We did it on ly b/c we didnt want people getting confused as to who was invited and who wasnt.
On the outside they said Mr. & Mrs. John SMith and the inside just said Uncle John & AUnt Jane....we did this so they didnt think all their children were invited.
It is definitely up to you what you do
ETA: I think my inner envelopes were incuded anyway-I used carlson craft-so they arent an extra charge

the inner was used for the purpose of listing exactly who is invited. For example if you are also inviting the kids you wont put everyones names on the front. You would put mr and mrs. John smith then inner envelope put john smith and karen smith and list the kids too. Also etiquette says not to put and guest on the outer envelope so if you invited Mr. Tom smith you would put only that on outer and inner put Tom smith and guest. BUT now invitations are changing and many are just one envelope, the modern ones at least. So bc of this it is now said to be ok to put and guest on the outside for example. I have boxed invites so i had to put and guest on the outside well on the box lol.

Lined inner envelopes aren't a necessity but for the weddings I have been invited to, I remember that most had it...it is completely up to you though!!!

Re: Invite opinions
we did a lining but not an inner envelope. our invite was pretty simple and i thought the lining made it a little different (we did a satin moire lining to match the ribbon accent)

Re: Invite opinions
have you seen these invites in person yet? If so, what are your worries about them? They are both pretty in their own way. There are several online vendors that have good prices for carlson craft.
I ordered my invites today from EZ Calligraphy; it's a Carlson Craft card, and I got the lined envelopes just because i really love the way it looks.
