Invite Qty Question

I need help figuring out how many invites to order...

currently our guest list is at like 260ish including the b-list. Theknot.com guestlist says this is 137 invitations.

my question is...if i get 140 is that enough....or should I order more in case I want to add more ppl?

how many extras are u ordering?

Hmmm I would maybe get a little bit more... especially if you think you might go onto your B-list. It's usually cheaper (per invite) to order the larger quantity than to go back and reorder (I believe so anyway)

I'd go with some more. I'm kicking myself for not ordering enough STD's right now. I'll definitely order some extra with the invites.

If that includes your B list, then I would order about 10 extra to have just in case

My guest list is 269 and that's including b-list. I'm going with 150 invites. I'd rather spend a little extra money and have too many invites than not enough. Also, you have to keep in mind, that not ALL of your invitations (at least not all of mine) are couples. So there may be a few invites that are only one person, therefore, you might need a few more than half of your guest list.

also don't forget you may be mailing some to family that you don't know, grandparents/parents may want to keep an extra copy...etc.....I am sending some to Greece that I know they won't come but I am still sending them just out of respect....having a few extra is much better than running out!!!

I actually used excell to add up how many invites and how many place cards I will need. I am inviting 140ish and need like 78 invitations, but I am ordering 100. I rather be safe then sorry. Also if you are ordering invitations and not getting them custom made usually they are ordered in multiples of 25.
