invite question

did anyone not get a reception card, and put the reception info right on the invite itself? Is that tacky? I just think its silly to have all of these different pieces of paper, and that all adds postage..... this is my least favorite part of this......i looked thru 15 books and i only liked 2 invites!!!!!

Re: invite question

Are you getting married at a church or at the reception hall?

My ceremony is at the RH so I just put 'Reception to follow' at the bottom.

I did that as my ceremony etc. are all at the hall. It seemed like a waste to have the same info on a card and saved me $75.

Last line of my invite says'

'Reception immediately following'

I think if you are switching venues (church to hall) you should have a separate card.

Re: invite question

I guess it depends on how it looks. It your ceremony is the same place as your reception then I odn't think you need one.
My ceremony and receptoin are a different locations so I had a reception card. There wasn't enough room on the invite even if i wanted to.

Re: invite question

Our wedding and reception is at the the synagogue - we only wrote black tie at the bottom b/c my mom was like well that is traditional and what we do - so we have no reception card and no reception to immediately follow on the invite itself. I hope that guests will realize they are all at the same place. humm.
