Invite question:

I'm SO confused!!!!!!

I am very traditional so I picked out an invite from the Vera Wang collection called 'The Traditionalist' (of course lol)... I love the invite and it's really pretty but the lady at the place asked if I wanted a double envelope (which is more traditional) so of course I said yes...

HERE IS THE QUESTION!!! ....

I am having hand calligraphy done-- i know I do the outside envelope obviously (name and address)... but what about the inner envelope? Is it just Mr. and Mrs. Doe or is it Mr. and Mrs. John Doe? OR is it nothing at all-- leave the inside envelope blank? OR is it informal-- like John and Jane Doe??

I'm SOOOO confused!!! LOL and the invite lady was NO help... I wish I didn't have to do the inside envelope b/c it's extra money for the calligrapher to do. HELP!

Re: Invite question:

The inside envelope should be something more personal.

I guess I am and I do have a lot of time... but I have no one in my life LOL so pathetic but SO true... I have no Maid of Honor and no Mom to help me... no 'older family members' to ask questions to-- So I tend to worry a lot more about stuff... and far in advance because I'm so afraid that I'm going to overlook something.

I have been the only one emailing my entire bridal party b/c I have no Maid of Honor-- so all the things that they need to know and stuff that I have to keep up on (that normally MOH's do) I have to do-- so I get 'overwhelmed' b/c I don't want to forget anything and then have everyone in my BP mad at me b/c there is no MOH to be upset with and it is clearly my fault.

It stinks and it totally takes the wind out of your wedding planning sails to be the ONLY one who wants to see the wedding happen lol aside from Vin. OK, now I feel like crying! But I'll be fine- I guess this is just the way my life will be from here on out.

I agree with you though-- I don't know why I care about any of this, I'm the ONLY one who does...
