I am getting married on 10/3/08 and I was planning on working on my DIY invites tonight. I was going to put the response date as September 5th, and I was planning on mailing them out around August 15th. Does this sound right to you girls? Or should I change the dates? I have alot of out of town guests which is why I wanted to get them out a little earlier than normal.

Re: Invite question
I think standard is rsvp 6-8 weeks before your wedding, and mail 6-8 weeks before your rsvp date.

Re: Invite question
My wedding is October 12 and I put September 1 as the RSVP date. I figured even though people know the date, it's still a holiday weekend and put it a little over a month before the wedding. I'm also planning on sending them out end of july, which gives them about a month to respond.

Re: Invite question
I would def. mail them out earlier, you should give people at least 4-6 weeks before your rsvp date

Re: Invite question
i'd send them out the beginning of August, 8 weeks before your wedding and have the rsvp 4 weeks before the wedding date
