How many weeks before your wedding date is your RSVP cutoff?

I put mine exactly one month before so I had time to make phonecalls in case people were late responding.

im putting my rsvp date for sept 1 and my date is oct 16...i dont trust people lol..

I said August 1, even though our wedding date is Sept 4.

We need to have our room block filled by August 4 so this gives me a few days in between to make phone calls to the non RSVPers

Also, I just liked the way 'Please respond by the First of August' sounded

I'm put rsvp by May 1st. Wedding is June 21st.
Ppl are not very reliable...
