invite question
Do you put the time your ceremony actually begins, or do you put a 1/2 hour earlier so people show up on time? My ceremony is at 11:30 am

I just went to a wedding earlier today. The invite said 11am for the ceremony. We got their 10min late I was upset thinking I missed part of the ceremony. It was actually at 11:30am!! Pretty sly :o) I think that's a good idea we ended up mingling with people, walking around the hall it was nice. So I think you should but 1/2 hour prior. I'm doing the same my cocktail hour will begin at 4pm but we are putting 3:30pm - I made sure the hall will have the cocktail hour open for the early birds so I guess you can say it is a 1 hour and 1/2 cocktail hour.
we put 1/2 hour early. I got ,arried at the reception hall, so for people who actually showed p on time (early) we had a hospitality hour for them with drinks, fruit, and veggies!
1/2 hour early, people will be late.
Thanks everyone! I send the order to the printer tomorrow so I just wanted to check.
I put 15 minutes earlier. I would have put 1/2 hour if I could, but the reason my wedding is the time it is (11AM) and not earlier is b/c the church reserves 9AM for funerals and I didn't want my guests showing up too early just in case there is a funeral held that day. I want it to start right on time b/c I do not want to miss my 1PM cocktail hour and we want to get pics done quickly!
