So I have my pocketfold invites sitting here in a large box waiting to be taken to the calligrapher...
My question is, do I take the response card out of the return envelope or leave it in the envelope??? Also, where do I put the church and RH directions? Behind everything else? I have pocketfold invites that look like this:
I'm not sure about pocketfolds, but I can tell you that the response card does not go in the envelope. You just tuck it under the flap.

Yes, take the RSVP's out of the envelope. As far as the directions go, are the cards all the same size? Is that why you're asking? well, I guess, regardless, I would put the directions in the back.

The previous posters are correct, the RSVP cards do not go in the envelopes.
HELPFUL HINT: You should number the back of the RSVP cards with a small number, corresponding to the number the guest is on your guest list -- so if you get 1 back without a name, you can look it up and know who it came from.
The other cards go behind the RSVP card, in the order that people need to see them. So, from top to bottom:
Reception Card (if you have one) RSVP Church Directions Reception Directions

I checked out a few sites for you and it seems like different people do this different ways. So, it appears there is no right or wrong way to do this.
I checked MyGatsby.com & I see the RSVP's outside of the envelope, but with the flap facing forward. Inother words, you can actually see the flap of the envelope.
I also checked notfromabox.com and I see that the order is also different.
Moral of the story here is NOT to sweat it. Do it according to how it appeals to you.

Thanks again everyone...you all have been so helpful! I'm sure when it comes down to it whether it being right or wrong...no one will even notice or care. I have a big project now (AGAIN) and start to take each RSVP card out of the envelopes which are about 165 of them! Thanks!!

Jen, I finally got pics of my pocketfolds....and you're right at the end of the day probably noone really takes note of the order.
Here are mine. I just wanted the RSVP to be in front so no one forgets it.
