We are NOT having children under the age of 12 at our wedding. There is only 1 family in particular that are family friends, that we are having a hard time deciding what to do. They have an 18 year old daughter and an 11 year old daughter...
Do we invite just the 18 year old daughter somehow or just invite the parents to keep it less complicated?
HELP PLEASE!

INVITE QUESTION- no children
I would invite the parents only. Should you hear from them after they receive your invitation you can explain to them since it will be an adult event you decided on not having children your wedding. It also allows the adults to have a night out with their spouses and/or significant others.

I think you have to do all or nothing in this case. Parents only.

I would do parents only OR ... if the 11 year old WILL be 12 by the time your wedding rolls around... do the family.

I would invite the whole family. You are talking about one girl who will be 12. You don't want any hard feelings.

INVITE QUESTION- no children
We are not having any children at our wedding and for those that have children we gave them more than enough time to make arrangements for them to find a babysitter before any invitations have gone out. At the end of the day it is an adult event and I think if you give them the heads up now it should not be a problem.
