Invite questions!!

Two things...

How far in advance did you ORDER the invitations? I know to mail them about 2 months before or so...

Who's name did you put on the response envelope? My mom said her name should go on it but I don't think I've ever receieved an envelope that is returned to the mom, usually I thought it was the bride?

Re: Invite questions!!

We ordered our invitations about a year in advance...yes, we're both VERY anal. We put my parents address because we were both still living at home at the time and knew we'd be moving in together (which we just did two weeks ago), but obviously didn't have an apartment yet. This just worked out better for our situation.

I ordered my invites when I decided on them - which was 5 month before the wedding. They are ready to be mailed in the beginning of April.

I put my name on the response card - I didn't want them going to FMIL's house.... I want to know who is/isn't coming ASAP

Re: Invite questions!!

I ordered mine the very end of December, they came in about 3-4 weeks later. I put my parents' address as the return address for 2 reasons.
The first is because ettiquitte says that since I phrased the invitation as my parents invite the guests to out wedding, it should go to them and the second is because I live in an apartment and I dont want any misplaced RSVPs.
