Invite responses

We ended up with a lot more invited than we originally intended. We are getting married at the Coral House, and the big room is available for our day but we would have to guarantee a higher amount. I was just wondering for those who are past this point, how many yes' did you receive on the amount of invites sent. I just want to get a general idea of percentages based on total invited.

Re: Invite responses

For me I have about 170 yes's and 100 no's. Most of the no's we did not expect to come. They all live in CA or down south and are mostly old people!

Re: Invite responses

We invited 235 and had 155 attend. You can usually count on a 20% 'No' return rate, so try and figure it out that way.

Re: Invite responses

Honestly I would NOT use anyone else's numbers for this. I thought I would have more people say No then we did. I had 89 invites out (156 people, 2 kids) and I only have a few No's, which is fine for us.
But it really depends on your family, his family and if people have to travel, if your wedding is a holiday weekend or a weekday etc..

Re: Invite responses

Like michele31 said...it's hard to tell from someone else's #s. We've received no's from people we just assumed would be coming, but on the flip side, got lots of surprise yes's.

We're at about 150 yes, 25 no. Still waiting for the rest. And waiting.
