Is it customary to invite the reverand to the wedding? The ceremony and reception are at different locations, but doesn't include a church. If so, do I send an invite to her? Also, this generosity doesn't branch out to the ceremony musicians as well does it?

Every wedding I've been to, the officiant has been invited to the reception. That said, I'm not sure of the exact 'rules' or anything. :)

So then I send an invite? I just thought its weird to send an invite-like Im reminding her to show up or something...guess Im thinking too much into this

It all depends on what your relationship is and what type of service you are having, most of them do not attend the weddings, as they do so many. The majority of brides and grooms today do not invite them, but again, its all based on your relationship with them and your religion, so there is no wrong or right..... If there is a close releationship with you and the reverend, then of course it would be nice to include him or her in your wedding celebration.

Our priest has been great with us - meeting with us once a month since November. We are inviting him to the reception.
We are also considering inviting the Deacon and his wife. The Deacon prepared me years ago for my confirmation and communion, and he just prepared my FH for his confirmation this year.
Even if we didn't feel like the priest had taken so much time with us, we would still have invited him as a courtesy.
Now, whether or not he will go is a question. Our reception, while not too far, is out in LI and our church is in Manhattan. I don't know if the priest would have a way of getting out there, but we hope he can make it!
