Invite ? Should the state be written out?

Invite ? Should the state be written out?

I am finalizing my spreadsheet before I send it to the invitawtion lady and I just realized for the state field I have it fully written out.

Did you ladies write out ie:

Smithtown, New York or did you put NY???

I think its written out but now I'm second guessing myself??????????

I wrote the states out on mine as well as if it was street or avenue

Thank you! I just read your post and I'm sorry you may have to cancel. I got laid off last month also, I know it *****. Any chance you could get a loan? How bout trying to get a loan at Bethpage Federal Credit Union? My sister said when she needed a loan for her house they approved it very quickly.
I would hate to see you cancel your wedding. I hope you guys can find another solution........

Yes you are supposed to write out the state. Also numbers 1-10 should be written in words as well as the words Road, Avenue, Street, etc.

Awww TY hun FH keeps telling me it will be ok and work out... I sooo want to believe him. he says I am just stressing because I am in the house all the time now but i don't want to go anywhere and waste gas running around... I live in Ohio now... we don't have that credit union anyway we kinda maxed out our credit doing a major repair to our house last winter...

It's prettier written out, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts etc.

I'm writing out all the state names too. For me, it's not just because 'that's what etiquette says,' but because when I wrote FL as in Florida in the script font I'm using that matches our invitations, it looked illegible. PA looked even worse! But written out, they look elegant.
