Invite Time Q

Hey girls, so i know this is a common question but I still haven't figured out what to do. What are you girls doing when if comes to invite time? Are you going to put the ACTUAL time the ceremony starts, 15 min before or 30 min before and why?

thanks!!!

im getting married in the church so I am putting the actual ceremony time because there might be another wedding going on and plus not everyone is going to be at the ceremony so those who are family and are closest friends will make the trip to the church anyway.

I am getting married at the reception hall, but I am also putting the actual time. I know some people get a little upset if they are mislead or something like that. I'm sure we'll end up starting 5-10 minutes late, but the plan is to start at 6:30 and write 6:30. Hope that helps. I really don't know what the right thing to do is in this case. I also don't like the idea of people feeling displaced for 30 minutes. If your hall or church offers some sort of small hospitality spread, I think that would be different.

I'm pretty sure we will write the actual ceremony time. I'm sure everyone who wants to see us get married will make sure that they arrive early enough to the church. We're getting married on a Saturday, so traffic shouldn't really be a problem.

I'm getting marries at the RH and have a hospitality spread. So I will have 1/2 early on the invites.

At my reception hall, they have 30 minutes of hospitality - coffee, pastries, champagne before the ceremony. So I'm putting the time the hospitality starts as the start time so I won't have to worry about anyone getting there late unless they are more than 30 minutes late, and if that happens, it happens.

We are probably putting 15 minutes earlier..though not 100% sure. Otherwise the actual time.

We are getting married at our church with private streets so we do not have to worry about people finding parking..someone will hand out passes

I am putting the actual time. My philosophy is if they can't be there on time, tough s*** lol. We are getting married at a church on a Sat and there is Saturday mass after our wedding. I have no time to wait around for people to show up.

We are going to have a little hospitality table set up I think at the RH....maybe i should put the time 15 min early...i wouldn't want to put it 30 min ealry and then ppl get there even earlier and have to wait around...maybe i'm stressing too much over this lol

I think if you have a hospitality type arrangement before hand if you put 15-20 minutes early it's not a big deal.

If it's in the morning just make sure you have coffee, tea, pastries, muffins, etc people will be fine with hanging out. Even half an hour isn't bad. If they are there to see you they won't care if they wait around for a short period of time.
