Invite Timing

Invite Timing

Hi Ladies,

I still have time but I was wondering what I should do about the timing to write on my invites. I have about 230 guests. I come from Carribbean background and my culture can be very laid back so to speak when it comes to timing for events. There is no such thing as deadlines and being on time back home. You just show up whenever so long as you show up! I love my people but I can not operate like that!

So with that said, normally I will tell my guests my event starts about an hour before it really starts. But I wanted to know what to do with my guests who actually have a concept of time especially when it comes to weddings? (Approx 30ppl)

Do I have two diffrent invites with two different times? Or do I have one invite with the earlier time and tell the 30 some odd people the wedding starts an hour later?

I just don't want to look tacky and I will not chance it by putting the real time because I will be saying my vows in front of a room of empty pews!!!

As always thanks for your help ladies

Re: Invite Timing

Invite everyone at the same early time, cuz if one finds out that it really starts an hour later the word will spread and they all will come an hour later..lol..and you dont want that.

Re: Invite Timing

I'd invite everyone early, so they have more than enough time to get there and get seated for the wedding to start!
