Invite wording

Ok I know this has been asked a million times before, but I am tired and lazy and don't feel like doing a search.
Please give me some suggestions on how I should word the invites.
We don't want something ultra traditional like 'Mrs and Mrs ____ request the honor of your presence..... '
So what can we use instead that pretty much means the same thing, but is less'traditional'?
We are all about non-traditional.
TIA!

Re: Invite wording

I felt the same way - this is what we used

Mr & Mrs Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx
invite you to join them
in celebrating the marriage
of their daughter
Marcie Ann
to
James Edward
son of
Mr & Mrs Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx
on Friday, the twenty-second of October
two thousand and four
at three-thirty in the afternoon
Saint Lawrence the Martyr
240 West Main Street
Sayville, New York

Re: Invite wording

I am starting mine out with:
Becuase you have shared in our lives
by your friendship and love, we
XXX
and
XXX
together with our parents...

There are some great alternatives that I found when looking for invitation wording on the Jean M website...
