Need ideas for wording: Planning wedding with my fiance but given money from both parents.
Either: 1. Together with our parents or 2. Do we need to put both sets of parents on the invite? Feels little young- we are almost 40. I think the parents would like their names on the invite but i dont think it is necessary and is very formal-
What do you think?

Re: Invite wording
We went the formal route and used both sets of parent's names -they were very pleased. We are both in our 30's but felt it was the right thing to do (for us).

Re: Invite wording
We did together with our parents (without naming them). We are both over 40. We are paying everything ourselves but didn't want our parents to feel excluded totally so we thought this was the best compromise.

Re: Invite wording
its one thing if you dont want the formal invite but you are never too old to do it! plus it might be nice if your parents want to be recognized. i have mine like this since my parents are helping out with the RH:
Mr & Mrs. Jim Jones request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter
jennifer marie
to
william smith
son of Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
on Saturday, ...etc...
However, if both parents are chipping in you can put both sets of parents names before your names.
This is just a suggestion but you can do it however you'd like and that you are happy with!

Re: Invite wording
We did together with our families...
It was just too complicated naming people with divorces, my mothers a widow, his parents are divorced one set remarried, one set isnt helping but didnt want them to feel left out... yada yada yada... typical american family lol
