Invite Wording

Invite Wording

FH and I were working on invite wording last night (Sat. night, how times have changed lol!) Anyway I figured I would ask the experts what you all think. please be honest I can take it!

We would put a quote somewhere at the top but the actual wording would start like this:

Jillian Middle Last

And

Ryan Middle last

Together with our families

Would be honored and happy if you would share in the joy

As we become one in marriage

Saturday, the thirtieth of June two thousand twelve

At Bellport Country Club

Street Address

Town, New York

Adult reception to follow

Just my opinion so feel free to ignore but I would change it to

Jillian Middle Last

And

Ryan Middle last

Together with their families

Would be honored and happy if you would share in their joy

I agree with the above.

I like everything except 'happy and honored.' If it were me, I'd just put 'honored.' Also, I agree with the change from 'the' to 'their.'

I would put 'together with our families' on top before your names. That's what we did - everyone is helping pay and my parents are divorced. And that's what the girl where we had our invitations professionally done suggested.

We are paying for the entire thing, so thats why we have our names first. We aren't getting any help, so we are just putting together with our families because we like how it sounds.

Ah, gotcha. Then I'd leave it the way you have it. It's good that you included it. I like how together with our families sounds too and I think it's better to acknowledge the families than not at all.
