Invite Wording AGAIN!!

Invite Wording AGAIN!!

I was wondering what people were doing about the wording on the invites... FIL's are contributing for their guests and a little more...a little little bit

Is this okay? Originally I was going to have it say
Mr. & Mrs.__________
Mr. & Mrs.__________
invite you to celebrate
and the rest of wording

I was going to have both of the parents name on the top of the invite - but my parents would like it to say:

Mr & Mrs. ____________
request your presence at the wedding of
their daughter
___________
to
___________
son of
Mr.s & Mrs. ______
and the rest
of the information

Let me know if you think it should be different
Thanks

I think #2 sounds better, but the FILS might be offended if they think their contribution deserves a higher billing.....

Re: Invite Wording AGAIN!!

They haven't really asked me at all about ANYTHING that we are doing for the wedding...
I have only told them what we are doing b/c we had a problem with the wedding plans and our families aren't talking.
so...
They have only asked once or twice about the plans it's kind of a touchy subject - I do bring it up but they didn't actually tell me about what they are giving us - they told FH to tell me...
Any more suggestions??

I'm in the same situation and I think we're going to use this:

Mr. and Mrs. XXX
and
Mr. and Mrs. XXXX
Invite you to share a day of happiness
at the marriage of their children
Samantha Robyn
and
Albert
As they exchange wedding vows
and begin their new life together
on Date
Place

Re: Invite Wording AGAIN!!

That's originally what I was going to due b/c the wedding isn't a mojor formal affair
It's a daytime wedding at being that the ceremony will be outside I wanted the invites to reflect a more peaceful felling - more semi-formal and to let EVERYONE know it's a day of happiness for FH & I and not a day of grudges...
I think they know that
