FH and I are paying for all of the vendors between the two of us. FH's parents are paying a good chunk of the RH. My parent's paid the deposit on the RH, plus paid for my dress, veil, and will be paying for my shower.
So, dilemma being, is it more appropriate to say FH and I, together with their parents, invite you to...
OR go the traditional route Mr. & Mrs. Coldasice217 request the honor of your presence to the marriage of their daughter....even though they are paying the LEAST amount total.
I feel that either way is going to offend someone. I don't want to slight FH's parent's by having my parents doing the invite, even though FH's parents are contributing, and I don't know if we word it with FH and I doing the inviting, if it seems like we are not acknowledging the help that we are getting.
Ahhh!!! What would you do in this situation?

Re: Invite Wording Etiquette
FH and i are paying for more of the wedding than either set of parents, but we preferred that our parents be listed as the hosts...we went with:
Mr and Mrs X and Mr. and Mrs Y Request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their children

Hmm...in a situation like this, would the order of the parents go by bride's then groom's, or alphabetical by last name? And then would it be understood that the order of the children would match to each set of parents?

It's always bride first - so the order is brides parents, grooms parents, bride, groom. HTH
