Invite wording for a second wedding?

Invite wording for a second wedding?

Anyone have any suggestions? It's a second wedding for both myself and FH. I never had the 'real wedding' experience though so I'm not quite sure how these should be worded. We are paying for the wedding ourselves.

My mom and dad have been divorced for many many years and my dad is remarried. Mom will be giving me away at the wedding, but dad will be there with his wife and I will do the father/daughter dance with him.

I have no idea how to word these things?

If you are doing it all yourselves I don't think you have to put your parents names on the invites.

If you would like to have their names on them...

You can say

Ms. Your Mom
&
Mr. & Mrs. Your Dad and step mom

invite you to the wedding of their daughter....

and so on.... that's how I have it.

Re: Invite wording for a second wedding?

Our invites just read:

Together with their families

BRIDE

&

GROOM

invite you to share their joy
as they are united in marriage

It was our first marriages, but I don't think it needs to read any differently as a second marriage for the B&G. We just talked it over with our parents to make sure they were ok with the way it was written since we didn't mention any names (with all the step parents it would've looked like the program instead of an invitation).

I have been married before and FH and I are paying for this ourselves also. I am not putting our parents name on it at all.
This is the wording I am using:

Bride
and
Groom
invite you to share in the joy of
the beginning of their new life together
when they exchange marriage vows
on Wednesday, the eighteenth of August
Two thousand and ten

How should i word the invite if my My mom, father and his new wife, and FH mother and father are all contributing to the wedding? and my father wants his name on the invite..,Sticky situation. I think the only compromise is to print out two sets of invitations...one for his side and one for my side.
