Invite wording for Divorced Parents

Invite wording for Divorced Parents

Please suggest wording for wedding invites .. my parents are still married but FH's parents are divorced...
FH's father is remarried and FH's mom is 'dating/living' with her significant other... not technically married but might as well be

All 3 parties are contributing and we want them all to be included on the invitation yet don't want anyone to be insulted or feel less of a contributor than the other and so on....

MIND YOU.... my parents are old school traditional..brides parents names MUST be first.....

Don't know if I have the fight in me...but I want to be fair and make all happy!!

TIA!!!!

Re: Invite wording for Divorced Parents

ok this does sound cumbersome...but here goes:

Mr. and Mrs. Smith,

Mr. and Mrs. Valdez,

and

Jane Doe and Allen Frank

invite you to join in the celebration of the marriage of

Mr. and Mrs. Smith's daughter

Catherine Elizabeth

to

Antonio Valdez

son of Jane Doe and Mr. Valdez

I think we are going to have to print our invitations on legal size paper...

did you think of

'together with their families,
Nick and Maria request the honor of your presence...........'

You could always just write together with their parents...

I have a feeling my parents may think that the wording is too 'informal'.... because I have mentioned something similar to the 'Together with our families' before and it didnt fly... they are hard to please... but thank you for the suggestions!! Keep em' coming!!
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!

sean michael shea
son of mr. michael shea and mr. & mrs. darrell jones
