Invite wording help.......

I am totally confused over the wording of our invite and am in need of your help. We have decided to include our children on the invite instead of our parents. Here is what I have so far:

We finally decided to make it official.....
Charonda XXXX
&
Alan XXXXX
together with our children
invite you to share in the first day
of our new life together
as we unite in marriage



I am not sure if the entire invite should be from us and should say WE and US and OUR. Not sure how the invite wording would flow with our names.
OR
If the invite should be from a 3rd person and say THEY decided to make it official and THEIR children and THEIR new life together.
