invite wording help- ANOTHER QUESTION

I could really use some examples.
Need to mention both sets of parents.
My parents are giving 'x' amount of money towards the hall, FH and I are paying the rest.
FILs are paying for the RD.
Cocktail hour starts at 6
Reception starts at 7 and goes until 12
(so in total its 6 hours at our RH)

PLEASE provide some examples.
thanks girls <3

ETA- sorry girls, I have another question...
IF you are getting married at a church are you listing the address of the church on the invitation and then the address of the hall?
sorry to be such a pest! FH told me last night I have to write it out today and give it to him.. meanwhile I thought he was doing it!

so far I have:

Mr. & Mrs. Kevin E. Gallagher

request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter

Megan Elizabeth
to
Joseph

son of Mr. & Mrs. Antonio Cipriano
On Saturday, the Ninth of October
two thousand and ten
at one o'clock in the afternoon
at Saint Patrick's of Bay Shore

how do I word it that the reception is at Verdi's of Westbury??

thanks again girlies!

We have an extra hour and didnt indicate it... i've never seen it indicated on an invitation

The only times on the my invite are the time of the church, and the time the CH begins

Re: invite wording help

you don't indicate a start or stop time on an invite, or atleast I never saw an invite with this info - they will find out when they get there!

ETA: they flow it into the party.....if you have an extra hour, everything will probably be pushed back an hour. Lets say a typical dinner comes out at 9 for a 5 hour party, it will come out maybe 930, as well as the VH to synchronize with the extra hour.

Re: invite wording help- ANOTHER QUESTION

I have all my info on the invite... most people use a seperate card for the RH info...

Re: invite wording help- ANOTHER QUESTION

Mine's all in one location so I don't have this, but I've received invitations that have all the info on one card or have a separate card for the reception info.

Re: invite wording help- ANOTHER QUESTION

on the actualy invite i put that date, time, and church name and city

then on a separate insert i have the reception card

so my invite is

the seventh of november at 2 o'clock in the afternoon
blah church
brooklyn new york

then the reception card says the celebration continues, please join us for cocktails dinner and dancing
cocktails will begin at half past six o clock in the evening
russos on the bay
howard beach, new york

then the direction cards have the full addresses for both church and rh
