Invite wording help needed!!

I want to put that my ceremony starts at 6:15pm

is it 'at a quarter past six in the evening' or 'at quarter past six' without the 'a'

I tried to find an etiquette website for you- but I couldn't so I asked one of the writers in my office- and he said it is really personal choice- but I think it sounds better without 'a'

I can check my etiquette book tonight, but I just did some google searches... All examples I saw just said 'quarter past six in the afternoon' -- no 'a' - HTH.

I would leave out both the 'at' and the 'a' and just write:

quarter past six o'clock in the evening
