Invite wording question...

'request the honour of your presence'

Does this imply that is a religuous ceremony?
What would use for a non religous ceremony?

what is yours going to say?

I don't think it implies anything

I'm pretty sure I read its for religious ceremony.

'pleasure of your company' is for non-religious.

But I say, do what YOU want.

Yes, that is 'technically' for religion ceremonies. However, I like it better than the 'pleasure of your company' (nonreligious), so even though we're not having a religion ceremony, I think I'm going to use the religious wording.

I never knew one implied the other....I think either would sounds nice.

I don't think anyone would understand the difference. I agree with the others, 'honor of your presence' sounds much better than 'company' IMO.
We are using 'requets the honour of your presence' but we are having a church ceremony so that doesn't really help.
