FH has no middle name. All parents are paying for the wedding so all names including last names are listed at the top of the invite.
It is a formal invite with black-tie optional
how do we put our names?

Re: Invite Wording when FH has no middle name
no reason to be redundent and say last name all over again if all parents are stated... in addition, you either use both middle names or none ... at least thats what etiquette says... we are using first name only also since fh hates his middle name

Re: Invite Wording when FH has no middle name
Are all parents still married or are there some divorces/remarriages in there?
I think if both of your parents are still married you could definitely do
Stacy Jill and Paul (with no last names)
If you don't have the same last names as all of your parents I would do:
Stacy Jill Lastname and Paul Lastname
I think it really depends on how you feel about your middle name. If you use it and like it, continue to do so even if FH doesn't have one. If you don't care one way or the other, leave it out. I really like my middle name and use it so I would vote for keeping it.

Re: Invite Wording when FH has no middle name
I think our invite is going to say:
Together with their parents, Mr. & Mrs. A. Italian and Mr. & Mrs. W. Greek, A.L. and A. invite...
I have a very romanesque, stately name, and I want to use my first and middle name, plus my middle name is also the same as my aunt's who is no longer with us, so I feel that I should. FH doesn't have a middle name, but I don't think it will look weird. I don't care if it's not proper etiquette.

i completely agree
however, since my dad is solely paying and only his name will be at the top, mine will read
melissa heather lynn to benjamin michael lastname
which etiquette states as well, because even tho FH's last name will be presented since we are putting 'son of' etc, his name appears before that and therefore should have his last name attached to it.
some people think its weird since its only my middle names but his last name, but this is apparently the 'proper' way to word it in our case, and it looks more even since i have 2 middle names lol

Re: Invite Wording when FH has no middle name
it's such a tough decision.
Both our sides are contributing and mine are divorced and remarried.
I do think the over use of our last names is redundent and I do like my middle name and he doesn't like the way it looks uneven with me having a middle name and not him (although I have thought of having in make one up..he's not going for it.)
I may just have to use first names only.
Another good reason to give your child a middle name :)
thanks girls

Re: Invite Wording when FH has no middle name
We also have all parents names and I have no middle, so we did it like this:
Jane & Billy Bob III

Re: Invite Wording when FH has no middle name
personally, i think you should put just your first names. it's not even noticeable that he has no middle name unless you put it right next to your first and middle. JMO
