invited to egagement party
we are having our engagement party this summer- a bbq in fh backyard
family and bridal party - definitely invited
but who else? ...
a few months ago my bm's mom asked if i registered- i said 'not yet' - she then asked if i was having an e party and i said 'yes' and she said okay i will wait for then becuz i wanted to get you something.
(but i am not registering for e party- i am for the shower-but okay she'll just find that out and do what she wants to do..)
honestly though if this had not come up i wouldnt think to invite bm family just because its just a bbq at fh house- would they be bored and not know anyone? i used to be very close with this bm family growing up though, but not so much lately even though i love them all. they are all invited to wedding definitely. so i should/have to invite them now definitely to e party right? (there are sisters and brothers and dad in this mix too -so if they all come together they'll have fun right?)
but - i also love my other bm's mom (and dad) - do i invite them too? i have not known this bm/her parents as long as the other ones though. and i am not sure they would want to come.
also - i work for a family who treats me like family and am very close to - i would love to have them there (they are invited to wedding) - as i go to all their family functions even though really i am a worker for them- this family is like 7th heaven -in many ways i am closer to them then i am to bm family that is likely coming- how can i not invite them? but mom says e-party is just family and friends- but i consider them friends. can i invite them or just the wedding?
will people be bored at a bbq? i like bbqs .... right?
advice on the above and reassurance that my bbq wont be a dud is needed!!
