Re: Invites
The first week of August *IS* early.
You don't need to have them in the mail until 8/12.

Re: Invites
well my rsvp date is 9/5. I was told that was the right date to use. So August 1st only gives people a month

Re: Invites
I only gave everyone a month and got most of my responses on time. I put the RSVP date a week earlier than needed to decrease the amount of phone calls I woudl have to make for stragglers It worked out nicely.

Re: Invites
They're only supposed to have a month!
Outside of NY people only mail 6 weeks before the date of the wedding, with a response about 3 weeks before the date of the wedding.
NYers generally mail at 8 weeks (2 months before the wedding) with a response about 4 weeks (1 month) before the wedding.

Re: Invites
We are sending ours out early to get it out of the way. Probably the first week of July, after the new wedding stamps come out.

Re: Invites
I sent mine out 2 months to the day of my wedding....I was slack on ordering. But in all honesty I dont think I would have sent them any earlier. Iw ould have worried about people losing the RSVP card

Re: Invites
I mailed my out between the 7th and 8th week. I also had sent out save the dates in early November. People will respond when they feel like it regardless, so do what works for you!

Re: Invites
I say send them out early. it is always good and it gives them plenty of time to send in the RSVP so there is no excuse.
