Congrats!!! Can you explain 'hand cancelling' to me? Sorry if it's a stupid question.

thats not stupid. U know when you see the stamp across the stamp you put on the envelope? It says the town it came from on it. Thats cancelling. Only its usually done by a machine. They run teh envelope through it. But since i dont have anormal envelope & i have a brooch i need them all hand cancelled. So basically they had to stamp the stamp part themselves. Also when you run through the machine the envelopes usually getthat barcode looking thing at the bottom. I hate that. So i suggest to anyone even if you have a normal enevlope to have them hand cancelled it looks nicer. HTH! : lol

did that cost extra? im assuming it does bc mine is going to need the same thing since i have a starfish that doesnt make it a flat invite anymore

Yes it does cost extra.

its considered parcel instead of regular mail. So they will weigh your envelope & then add whatever the parcel is for that weight. Then you purchase your stamps for the amount due fo rthat weight. Then stamp ur enevlopes seal them bring them back to the post office & request the hand cancelling. lol Aot of trips to the P.O Make sure they weigh them right. The first time they didnt add teh parcel. I had to purchase more stamps thank god it wasnt crazy like 5 stamps on there! I had three though. Each envelope cost me $1.60 what a pain to getthe pretty heart stamps we all want or something pretty. lol I went with three for teh heart stamps. 1 had 2 59cent stamps & 1 42 cent stamp.

Thanks so much for the info!! My invite designer told me it would cost an extra .20 on top of whatever the postage would normally be if they couldnt go through the machine... I'm hoping they dont come out to as much as yours per invite though! Im already spending more than I wanted on them
