Invites

Invites

Is anyone not doing pocket folders? I'm making my own and we are on a tight budget especially for something that I know most people will just throw away. I keep seeing all of these beautiful pocket invites and I'm just wondering if I'm the only one just doing regular ones?

Re: Invites

i did them but it helps when you do design for a living and I was working at a print shop at the time. You can easily do them at home for cheap just invest in the actual pocket fold part and purchased them made then buy the paper and print it at home and cut it up on your own. In the end I had spent $300 on 75 invites with inserts and envelopes, 75 menu's, 50 programs, favor tags, favor stickers, our sign in tags for our sign in tree.

I started the process early enough (I think) to find out if I will be able to afford them. If it turns out after I get my price quote that it's just obscene, I'll switch to a flat invite.

I'm not doing them...waaay out of my budget..i chose simple, classy invites... didnt really want to spend a fortune on something almost everyone is just going to look at up until the day of the wedding and then throw away....

I am making the pocketfolds myself and I bought all the paper online at anchorpaper.com and they cut it to size.. I got like 3 different sizes and it all came to like 60 bucks!
