When are you suppose to send the invations out 2 or 3 months before?

I've been told 3 months before your wedding date to send out invites & put a RSVP date 6 weeks before your wedding date. That's what I'm doing.. Some people do 2 months before also. I'm not going to do that just in case I have to make phone calls I want to give myself enough time.

I am sending mine out 10 weeks before the wedding.

I am sending the first week in january and my RSVP date is 2/15

I did mine like 2 1/2 months before. so maybe I can invite a few more people this week as I see some people aren't coming.

plus it gives me time to get all the rsvps and not have to be anxious that omg I need to know for fox.

I said 3 months and did it a little before the 2 month mark. (Between 8-10 weeks is average)
