Invites and Favors: CHECK! *good news on pg 2!

Okay so today I went to Gifts of Love in Queens with my mom and MOH - HIGHLY recommended place - love it there and my family has used them for many occasions.

I picked out my invitations! I put some money down on them but I didn't order them yet because I can't decide on the wording ( i want to include both sets of parents) they are totally not what i thought i would like since they are very modern and I am usually a very ornate person (read: gaudy italian) i have a terrible picture that i found but they have some snowflakes at the top and then it will say:

The miracle of love is that it is given to us to give to each other . . .

Matilde (snowflake) Anthony
then the wording. . . .

the response card has one snowflake on it and i also got the matching place cards!!!

but this is what I LOVE ABOUT THEM!!!!!!!!!! and really makes them special! the ink is SILVER GLITTER!!!! the ink has sparkles in it and it is SO DIFFERENT AND BEAUTIFUL!! ok sorry i am excited:

and then for my favor i got these GORGEOUS crystal and silver containers for grated cheese or sugar! they have a little spoon and everything - i thought they were something useful and elegant and will match almost anything!!

soo i am bumping my own thread to add something that i forgot!

well when it came time to pay a deposit for the invites and favors it got a little awkward bc my parents always said they would pay for them for me but we hadnt officially talked about it -

so i offered to pay but my mom wanted to - and she is going to pay for BOTH invites and favors!

she asked if we wanted a bigger gift at the wedding OR more help with stuff like this - and we decided to get the help NOW and and get a smaller gift later

sooo yay for mom and dad! i hope FH and I are making the right choice!
