Invites are OUT!

Invites are OUT!

i get a message from FH before and he's like 'oh by the way I mailed out all those invitations.' so then i call him like so did you hand cancel.... and he said no.... so instead of freaking out I was like, oh okay, I thought we were going to do that? and he said yeah but the guy said we really don't have to because they are like the size of a regular bday card, and they'll be fine through the machine.

truth be told I knew nothing about hand cancelling before this site, and I think the PO guy is probably right - my invites aren't crazy and packed with stuff... they needed a .58 stamp and that's it. So here's hoping to no problems.

i can't believe they are out!! I was SO much more excited than I thought I would be - now I get to look for RSVPs!

Me too, but when I went to get them hand cancelled they said that the post office would only do 50 and then they would charge for each one afterwards. No way was I going to pay for that, so I just dropped them off in the box.

Congrats on getting them sent out... now the 'fun' part of waiting and stalking the postman for the RSVPs!

when we went to get the stamps for them the PO guy even said it then that we didn't have to but they would give us the stamp and we could do it ourselves... i'm hoping FH isn't lying to me and he really did ask, and not just that he's lazy.

thanks!

omg dont worry!! my mom mailed them out, and did not specify anything either and to my suprise, each of them were hand cancelled.. even the international ones and i had about 100 invites the first time around..

no worries my date twin, the post office will do it accordingly!!

thanks! - it's funny that if not for LIW I would have no clue that there was even something to worry about! but hopefully I'll know tomorrow or the next day when my parents/sisters start getting their invites that they got there okay.

Since your invites weren't super packed with stuff, then the regular machines should be okay.

thanks girls! now i think the most major stuff i still need are shoes and a veil. and hairpins. and menus, programs, and placecards.. and... okay, I'm going to stop now and make a conscious decision that only the first two things are major.
