So my mother has been on my case to get my invitations in the mail. I wanted to wait a week or two because I think it is too early. I think she is really eager to get my shower invitations out though and she won't do it until the wedding invites are out, so I told her she could mail them today. Well she took them to the post office, bought the stamps, put the stamps on and then put them in the blue mailbox out front!!! So now after all of the hard work to put them together they are thrown in with the rest of the mail and are going to arrive all crumpled.
I don't understand why she would do that

I threw my wedding invitations into the mailbox and they all came out fine. Don't worry, I'm sure that they will still be intact when they arrive.

don't worry. i had my hand stamped and then some of them still had to go throw a machine and they were ok.

They should be fine. Most of the mail is done by a machine sorter now. You could drop them off at the post office and still have a problem.

The second round of invites went in the blue box (courtesy of my parents) and everyone got them in fine condition. I woudl not worry.

They will be fine, not a problem at all, I don't tend to get too many crumpled up letters, so I think your invites will be fine.

Don't worry about them, they'll be fine. We put the second round of wedding invites in the blue box and they arrived perfectly fine.

they don't really need to be hand cancelled. Your invitations should be fine =))

i did not hand cancel mine... someone from my job noticed... but the man at the post office said it is not necessary and even when you hand cancel they still can go through the machine...

Honestly mine went in the mail the same way. And I saw several that arrived at diff locations and they were still perfect. No dirt or bends. So don't worry they will be fine.

Don't worry I'm sure they came out fine!!! I'm guilty of just dropping mine in the blue box as well lol.

don't fret.... the hand cancelling thing I believe is a bit overrated.... since I went through the effort to try to get that done, and then they ran them through the machine ANYWAY.

Only 1 invitation got lost... and it was within the same zipcode gotta love our post office

oh, and none were damaged.....

They will be fine.....I have heard (on this site) that when you get them hand cancelled, they still go through the machine. So, no worries!
