i want to invite a family..can i address that on the invites or should i send out seperate invites to child in the household.... they are over 18. i read on wording website that they should get thier own invites... ? im trying to stay under 100 invites.. if i order 125, i maybe use 5 of them by doing this family trick.

technically, you are supposed to invite the adult children separately. I guess if you are tight on invites, you cold maybe send 1 intie to all adult children living in one house, and then 1 to the parents.
You are not supposed to put 'family' on the envelope. Even for a family with little kids, you are supposed to put Mr & Mrs on the outside & all the first names of parents & children on the inside.

Technically, anyone over 16 - I think - is supposed to get their own invite, but you can get away with 'The Smith Family', IMO.
BUT, you should really order at least 20 more invites than you plan on using anyway, just to be safe, so figure that first.

for anyone over 18, I sent their own invite. But of course, their parents filled out and mailed the RSVP for them anyway

Anyone over 18 we gave their own invitation... and if we knew they were in a relationship invited them w/ a guest.
We had a few 16 and 17 year olds but we invited them as and family.

I spent a lot on my invitations - so i put family - especially since i didnt have the names of all the adult children

yeah..mine are alot also and just to use a few of the next 25 i would have to order would be very silly...
on your returns rsvp, did those few family return the names/numbers fo the ppl you were expecting?
on our rsvp...we put a place to say how many were attending...so if the number is off from what we expected...we can give them a quick call to confirm the number
