Can anyone tell me about what to expect to pay per invite???
Does anyone know of a website or a place on LI to get cheap/ nice invites???

i'm paying about 3.50 per invite, but remember to factor in postage, possible additional postage due to irregularities, and calligraphy.... it adds up very very quickly... i was going to get mine through invitations by dawn, but wasnt completely happy with the design i was going to pick so i'm now using a seller on etsy (its a site for all handmade, custom items).. you put in a general request and sellers bid for your business
you can try www.theamericanwedding.com - they even send you samples of up to 3 invitations for free, they have pretty decent prices and some pretty invitations.

i got 225 invites for just under $1000. i went to a place in bayside that offers 20% off. yippee!

I'm paying around $800 for 175 invites but I'm doing two layer, heavy lining.
I recommend A Bridal Paperie in Plainview. They are not a middle man, they do all the printing on site so they can probably work with your budget depending on the type of paper, etc.
